Disque Dur Externe

    Hello,

    Voila j'ai actuellement deux partitions : l'une avec Windows Vista Ultimate et l'autre avec Ubuntu Feisty Fawn ainsi qu'un disque dur externe de 75go en NTFS. J'ai donc tenté de branché mon DD Externe sous Ubuntu mais un message d'erreur apparait " Impossible de monter ce volume ".

    Vis à vis du tuto de M@teo21, j'aurais aimer que mon DD Externe soit la partition contenant mes docs, donc je doit convertir cette partition en ext3.

    J'aimerais donc savoir si FS Driver, le logiciel permettant de rendre ext3 compatible Windows fonctionne sous Vista ( desolé j'ai perdu mes points d'interrogation ).
    Inversement, j'ai aussi installer les paquets " ntfs-config", d'après le Labo Linux de chez Supinfo, ces paquets sont censé me permettre d'écrire et de lire des données NTFS sous Linux. Dois je donc laisser mon disque dur externe en NTFS ( pt d'interrogation )

    Et ma dernière question : comment faire pour accéder à mon disque dur externe sous Ubuntu ( pt d'interrogation ).

      bonjour

      une petite précision concernant la partition "documents" du tuto de mateo (la partition /home, en fait) : cette partition contiendra non seulement les documents (si on le souhaite), mais elle contiendra aussi (et surtout) tous les fichiers de configuration propres au système. Placer /home sur une partition ntfs, meme avec les drivers pour écrire dessus, me parait donc une tres tres mauvaise idée. Cette partition est vitale pour le fonctionnement de linux, donc il faut la placer sur un système de fichier linux (ici, ext3). Je suis meme sceptique sur le fait de la placer sur un disque externe (quitte apres à utiliser ce disque externe pour stocker tes "vrais" documents).

      Sinon, concernant le fonctionnement de tel ou tel logiciel sous Vista, je ne peux pas te répondre : windows (et en particulier Vista) me devient de plus en plus étranger vu que je suis à 100% sous linux.

      Enfin, pour la reconnaissance de ton disque externe par ubuntu : ben je suis pas un spécialiste.
      Le message apparait au moment meme où tu branches ton disque, ou apres avoir essayé de faire quelque chose avec ?
      Que donne la commande "dmesg" juste apres avoir branché le disque ?

        C'est à dire que sur mon disque dur externe j'ai tout mes divx et mes musiques, tout ce que je " réclame " c'est de pouvoir lire et écrire sur ce disque dur externe ces fichiers. A votre avis, que faut t'il que je fasse.

        J'ai entendu parlé d'un outil appelé NTFS-3g qui permetterait de faire pas mal de chose sur NTFS via Linux

          euh, quand le système est suffisament sympa pour t'indiquer ce qu'il pense etre le problème et te propose quelques solutions pour tenter d'y remedier, ce serait quand meme dommage de ne pas suivre ses conseils....
