Get the Most Out of This Course

Hello and welcome to this course on landing an apprenticeship!

In this course, you will learn what an apprenticeship is and how to find yourself an employer.

Case Study

Through each stage of this course, you will follow Samantha, a fictional prospective apprentice.

Meet Samantha!
Meet Samantha!

Samantha is 28 years old and lives in Long Beach, California. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Media Studies and is interested in doing a Digital Marketing apprenticeship program with OpenClassrooms. In the past, she worked part-time as a Personal Assistant for 1 year. She has some experience in digital marketing since she used digital tools in her job. She has decided to take up her studies again and is currently working part-time as a waitress at a bakery in Los Angeles. Although she has a driver's license, she doesn’t have a car. Her hobbies are kitesurfing, cross-fitness, yoga, and Pilates.

Learning by Doing

In each chapter, you’ll find:

  • An introductory video that summarizes the most important information,

  • A text providing additional explanations and concrete examples,

  • Specific tools and resources to consult, or even files to download,

  • Exercises in the “Your Turn!” sections. These will help you find the apprenticeship employer you need today, as well as help you with your job applications in your future career.

At the end of each part of the course, you’ll find a quiz to check what you’ve learned.

But before we begin, here are a few pieces of advice to optimize your learning:

  1. Watch the videos at the start of each chapter to understand why the concepts discussed are important.

  2. Read the text below each video and learn about how you can apply the practical tips.

  3. Make the most of the “Now it’s your turn” sections to work on your own documents.
