    Get a head start in your new career. You can earn a degree in authorized states, a nationally recognized certificate from the U.S, or even both. Department of Labor, both based on your professional projects and business experience. At the end of your apprenticeship, our teams will help you transition into long-term employment and prepare you for job interviews if needed.

L'éligibilité aux crédits universitaires varie selon le programme et les accords de partenariat. Nous avons établi des partenariats avec certaines universités pour offrir des crédits universitaires pour les heures d'alternance complétées dans certains programmes. Le nombre de crédits accordés et leur transférabilité sont déterminés par l'institution partenaire et les directives du programme. Veuillez contacter l'équipe de succès d'alternance pour obtenir des détails spécifiques et vérifier votre éligibilité. Exemples de crédits universitaires : University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) jusqu'à 55 crédits, Bakersfield Community College jusqu'à 38 crédits, Prince George's Community College jusqu'à 27 crédits.

First, you’ll have to apply to our program. Once your application is approved, you’ll need to find your employer with help from your OpenClassrooms career placement team at no extra cost. If you’ve already found your employer, mention it on your application, and our team will take care of the rest.

Simply mention in your application that you already have an employer. Our Admission team will contact you as soon as possible to validate your application and eligibility. Then we’ll contact your employer to discuss contracts.

Your apprenticeship program will take between 12 and 15 months.

There is no cost to you as the apprentice. Your employer provides you with compensation, equipment, and valuable benefits. Grants and federal funding cover all training costs.

Yes, your work-study schedule varies according to your apprenticeship contract. The workweek consists of 4 days on-the-job and 1 day dedicated to training with OpenClassrooms. You can organize these days with your employer according to their needs.

You’ll be paid an apprenticeship hourly rate from the first day of your contract. The average starting wage is $18.54 - $20.00 per hour.

When you complete an apprenticeship program, you will receive a national certificate from the U.S. Department of Labor and can take your certification anywhere in the United States.

Your training will take place online from the comfort of your home when you are not working on the job with your employer. You’ll benefit from a one-to-one mentoring session each week

Yes, apprenticeships can take place on the job, remotely, or hybrid. It will depend on your employer’s teleworking policy.

To be able to start as an apprentice, you’ll need to have an employer. Finding a host and contracting usually takes between 1 and 3 months. To help you find one as quickly as possible, OpenClassrooms provides support to help you secure a contract by offering resources and support to optimize your profile to stand out to employers. Complete the Land Your Apprenticeship course to help you get started. 

The study schedule is based on one day a week dedicated to studying. Your progress will depend on the time invested, skills, and work pace.

On average, apprentices work 32 hours per week, with 4 days working on the job.

Our team will help you follow your study schedule. If you don’t manage to stick to the schedule and finish your training program on time, you will not receive the certificate of completion from the U.S. Department of Labor.

Internships are typically shorter, less formal, and may not provide specific skills training or a credential.
