Become a Product Manager: Drive the Success of High-Impact Digital Products

The Product Manager plays a key role in the development of digital products that are useful, desirable, and profitable. Like a conductor, they coordinate design, technical, and business teams to build solutions that meet real user needs, while aligning with the company’s strategic goals. They rely on a deep understanding of market expectations, user data, and technical constraints to prioritize which features to develop.

 

As a Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for key tasks that ensure your organization runs smoothly.

Here are some examples of what you’ll learn to do:

  • Analyze user needs through interviews and data

  • Define a product strategy aligned with business goals

  • Build a prioritized roadmap using user feedback and technical constraints

  • Write clear and actionable functional specifications

  • Lead product development with a cross-functional team

  • Measure product performance using KPIs

  • Conduct user testing to validate hypotheses

  • Work with agile methodology and team rituals tailored to your context

You will master the most in-demand methodologies and tools: 

  • Methodologies: project management (Waterfall, RACI, SMART goals, Keep/Drop/Start feedback), product strategy (Value proposition canvas, Business model canvas, product vision, product brief template), Agile methods (Agile, Scrum) UX (UX design, AB Testing, Lean UX Canvas, Nielsen heuristics), Marketing (marketing strategy & channel template).
  • Tools: monitoring system (Feedly, Netvibes), project management (Trello, Notion, Miro, Mural), design (Figma, Adobe XD, Canva), presentation (PPT), spreadsheet (Excel, GoogleSheet), analysis (Google Analytics).

The Product Manager role remains highly strategic and in strong demand.

Prerequisites to Enroll

To enroll in the Product Manager training program, applicants must meet the following prerequisites:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in one of the following fields: Project Management, Computer Science, Web Design, or Digital Marketing;

OR

  • A year of equivalent experience as a Product Manager or Software Engineer;

AND, Have at least a B2 level in English.

Information About Degrees

OpenClassrooms is a higher education institution, accredited by the WASC Senior College & University Commission (WSCUC).

 

Upon completion of this program, eligible students will be awarded a Master's level degree in the Product Management area of study. OpenClassrooms is eligible to issue degrees in the following states.
