What will I do as a Cybersecurity Professional?

Cybersecurity professionals are instrumental in safeguarding organizations from cyber threats and ensuring their success. Your life as a cybersecurity professional can be very different, depending on the specific job you do:

  • On the offensive side of cybersecurity, penetration testers and ethical hackers are here to identify vulnerabilities in systems, simulate cyber attacks to test the effectiveness of security measures, and provide recommendations for improving security.
  • On the defensive side, SOC Analysts and incident responders typically monitor and defend networks against security threats, analyze security breaches, and ensure the integrity of information systems.
  • Governance-wise, GRC analysts – for Governance, Risk, and Compliance – focus on ensuring that the organization manages risks effectively, maintains governance standards and complies with regulatory requirements.

What will I learn in this training?

While each cybersecurity work role has its own specific skill set, all of them actually share the same foundational skill set. Our bootcamp is tailored to cultivate those, transforming IT-proficient individuals into cyber-aware experts.

By the end of this path, you'll be able to:

  • Establish and manage a cybersecurity watch.
  • Conduct vendor and supply chain risk management.
  • Perform vulnerability and compliance scans and share their results.
  • Engage in digital investigations and incident response.

In addition to these technical skills, you will learn transversal or “soft” skills, which will help you grow as a cybersecurity professional, and allow you to progress in your career.

You'll also prepare for the ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity exam, ensuring your knowledge and skills are recognized and valued in the industry.

In addition to the operational skills you will acquire, obtaining this certification assures employers that you possess a thorough understanding of the pertinent technical concepts: security principles, Incident Response (IR), Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) concepts, access controls concepts, network security, and security operations.

All in all, this Bootcamp is more than just a training program: it's an investment in your future, equipping you with the tools, knowledge, and perspective to thrive in the dynamic world of cybersecurity.

Our students and their employers generally leverage this bootcamp for the following reasons:

  • Upskilling - For professionals who aim to weave cybersecurity activities into their current roles, our bootcamp amplifies their cyber proficiency. Whether you're an IT technician, project manager, or administrator, you'll acquire the expertise to bolster cybersecurity measures without needing to pivot entirely into a dedicated cybersecurity position.
  • Preskilling - For those eyeing a shift into dedicated cybersecurity roles, our bootcamp paves the way for a smoother transition. By becoming proficient in recurrent cybersecurity activities, participants can seamlessly integrate with established cybersecurity teams. These teams can then leverage the skills of our graduates from 'Day 1', without the typical onboarding lag, especially when they're already swamped with tasks. They will be delighted to have you onboard.
  • Career Exploration - Not sure if a full-fledged cybersecurity career is your calling? Our bootcamp offers a holistic view of the diverse career pathways within cybersecurity, helping participants discern their unique interests and inclinations. By the end of this bootcamp, you will be equipped to make your right decision.
