Senior Recruitment Officer Capgemini Consulting
"By deciding to do this innovative digital partnership with OpenClassrooms, our main objective was to recruit apprentices as full-time employees [...] their profiles are rare on a market where it is very hard to find resources."

Still have questions?

OpenClassrooms students complete a series of projects to develop professional skills. These are realistic workplace simulations. By following set constraints and working within a defined context, students deliver a project output for each step.

Our teams support you from defining your recruitment needs to candidate search, contract finalization, and all administrative steps. You can choose the start date at any time of the year, as well as the apprenticeship rhythm best suited to your organization. The apprentice will be mentored weekly via video calls by a professional from the field (not a teacher), and our Student Success team will follow up with you to ensure the collaboration goes smoothly. Courses serve as support resources for completing the projects. They are not mandatory—you can validate a project using other materials or your own experience—but are strongly recommended for beginners.

The remaining training costs depend on several factors: contract type, your collective agreement number (IDCC), contract duration, and the student’s chosen program. For details, please contact us using this link.

Training programs range from 12 to 36 months. The specific duration is indicated in the full program brochure.

The time spent in training depends on whether the apprentice is under a apprenticeship or professionalization contract. For apprenticeship contract: 4 days/week in the company, 1 day/week for training, and 1–2 additional mandatory training days per month. For professionalization contract: 4 days/week in the company, 1 day/week in training, and potentially 1–2 extra mandatory days per month depending on the program. More details available via this link.

There are two main types of contracts: The apprenticeship contract leads to a state diploma or professional certification registered in the RNCP. It targets 16–29-year-olds (with exceptions) and is part of initial training, supervised by a workplace mentor. The professionalization contract leads to a qualification recognized in a collective agreement, CQP, or RNCP diploma. It is for people aged 16–25, job seekers, or certain special cases, and is part of continuing education, supervised by a tutor. More information is available on the French government’s official alternance website.
