symfony 3

merging together

    Hello everyone
    I'm developping my End Studies Project,
    it's about a web application that holds mostly events (free events, pay events ...)
    so i decided to work with symfony3 framework,
    and then, a friend of me told me that i should work with angular 2 (front end) and Rest api for exposing services.
    I can work with symfony but i have no idea what's angular and Rest api
    1) what's angular ?
    2) what's Rest api ?
    3) how can i combine/include them with symfony 3
