Discover How This Course Works

Do you understand the concept of an OpenClassrooms online course?

This course follows a logical progression that we’ve split into four sequential parts. Each part contains a number of chapters that should be completed in the order presented.

Before we start, here are some tips to help you get the most out of the course content and optimize your learning:

  1. Watch the videos at the start of each chapter so you can understand why each topic we’re covering is important.

  2. Read the text below and go through the activities in the “Your Turn!” sections so you’ll know how to apply these concepts.

  3. Take advantage of every opportunity to practice, by taking a break from the course to train on your own, and reproduce step by step what you've read in the course!

Course Case Study

AirGalaxy is a company whose aim is to create an application that will monitor rockets before they are launched into space. This application will be used by rocket assembly and testing teams to guarantee space flight safety. The features are critical so quality is important to this project. Any error could have disastrous consequences for astronauts and for the company itself.

To guarantee that the software will be sufficiently robust, fit for purpose, and properly tested, AirGalaxy has decided to use the V-model approach.

This method involves defining all features, technical elements, and testing up front as a guarantee of quality. Your role as project manager will be to apply your project management skills at each stage of the V-model process.
