Course Summary
Congratulations! You've finished the course! Let’s take a moment to look back over everything you’ve learned.
You now have a good overview of React, and you've created your first React app using components.
Next, you used Create React App to create a complete application and learned the basic principles of JSX, from conditional rendering to creating lists of components, props, and events.
Finally, you integrated logic into your components using state and useEffect.
By now, you've gained a good foundation in React and hopefully had fun along the way!
Add Functionality
Do you want to take our Jungle House site further? Here are a few ideas for other features that you could try:
Deleting articles from the cart.
Selecting several categories.
Displaying additional information when clicking on an item in a modal.
Adding style: animations for opening/closing the cart, on the header, personalizing buttons, etc.
Anything else you want!
This is just a list of suggestions – you’re in charge of your own learning. But if you especially like developing a particular functionality, go for it: you learn best when you’re having fun! 😁
Go Further
Luckily, there are lots of resources to help you on your way.
For official information, keep an eye on the React blog.
For information that is slightly less formal (but no less relevant), follow members of the React core team on social media, especially Twitter. There’s also the excellent blog Overreacted if you want to learn a more about technical concepts.
Sign up to newsletters such as React Digest.
Finally, read blog posts on Medium or CSS Tricks.
We’ve reached the end of this course. I hope that you enjoyed taking it as much as I enjoyed creating it. I wish you the best of luck in all of your adventures as a developer!
