Before we jump in, let me walk you through the structure of this course and share a few tips to help you Get the Most Out of It:
The course is divided into three parts, and each part is split into several chapters.
Each chapter explains key concepts through text-based content.
You’ll also find hands-on activities to practice what you’ve learned.
Finally, each part ends with a quiz so you can check your understanding and identify areas to revisit.
You’ve just joined a project nearing completion: Jardin Actuel, a brand-new website dedicated to gardening. It’s about to go live, but before that, it needs to pass through your expert hands.
As a software tester, you’re the final safeguard before the site goes into production. Your mission will be to:
verify that user registration works smoothly,
test filters and article searches,
spot bugs that may be hard to detect,
and write a clear report for the project team.
You’ll work with a test plan. You’ll run functional tests… and you’ll go off the beaten path with exploratory tests to push the site to its limits.
The site is waiting for you—ready to be tested.
So, shall we get started? Let’s begin with an overview of the tester’s mission.
