Hello, and welcome to this course on designing a test strategy.
In this course, you'll learn how to analyze functional specifications so you can build an effective test strategy and a test plan suited to your upcoming test campaign.
In the first part, you'll explore functional specifications and produce a requirements review that will help define the scope of your testing project.
In the second part, you'll design your test strategy by aligning your requirements review with your available resources and the time you have to run your test campaign.
In the final part of the course, you'll dive into writing the test plan, where you’ll put together the test cases and scenarios required to carry out an efficient test campaign.

A project manager and software tester for the past 10 years, Cédric enjoys understanding his clients’ needs and ensuring that the implemented application meets their expectations. His guilty pleasure? Stress-testing systems to uncover as many bugs as possible.
Have you ever taken an online course on OpenClassrooms?
This course follows a logical progression divided into three parts. Each part includes several chapters that are best completed in order.
Before we get started, here are a few tips to help you make the most of the content and optimize your learning experience:
Read each chapter carefully, and follow the activities in the “Over to You!” sections to understand how you can apply the concepts.
Take every opportunity to practice by stepping away from the course and reproducing the step-by-step processes you’ve learned.

Throughout the course, you’ll complete a series of activities called “Over to You,” where you’ll work through each step of building your test strategy using a concrete running case study that evolves chapter by chapter.

Ready to get started? I'll meet you in the next chapter, where we'll begin exploring functional specifications!
