The objective of this course is to help you become more familiar with the features included with Windows 10 and how to use those tools to manage and protect the operating system in a professional environment.

Kevin is a practiced IT professional with over 10 years of experience. He has managed and mentored successful IT departments in a number of different industries and is dedicated to helping individuals make the most of their IT careers.
Lélio is a network, systems, and cybersecurity professional. After working in many companies in the sector, he specializes in passing on his knowledge through mentoring or university courses.
Get Acquainted With the Course Structure
Following this orientation, the course will be split into 3 main parts. You will progressively build on your skills as you work through the chapters in each part. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect:
Part 2: You will take your first steps with Windows 10. This part will help you gain an understanding of the layout of the operating system and dive into managing applications.
Part 3: This part will help you become an administrator with Windows 10 by learning how to monitor and optimize your computer's performance.
Part 4: You will use the final part to learn how to protect your Windows 10 computer using encryption and backup methods.
How to Approach the Course Resources
As you progress through the course, you will get the opportunity to read, watch, and interact with the course materials to keep your learning experience as interactive as possible.
Each chapter is composed of text, screenshots, and short tutorial videos narrated by Kevin to support you through the tasks involved in using Windows 10.
The short exercises at the end of each chapter will give you the opportunity to get hands-on practice with the operating system.
Each part of the course finishes with a quiz so you can check your understanding of the topics covered in each chapter and help commit your learning to memory before moving on to the next section.

The exercises at the end of each chapter will build on the scenario described below, which is inspired by situations that real-world IT technicians find themselves in. This will help you understand how the skills you’re learning are applied in a working environment.
IT Technician at CleanFuture
You have recently been employed as a junior IT technician for an environmentally focused technology startup: CleanFuture. They have a small office with less than ten employees, all of whom are set up with Windows 10, either on desktop PCs or laptops.
Some of the employees are unfamiliar with Windows 10, so it is important that as an IT technician you have a mastery of the operating system. You will need to be able to help your colleagues understand Windows and assist them in getting the most out of their computers.
