They promote and incorporate their principles and beliefs into every single HR process or policy. Diversity and inclusiveness, inside and outside OpenClassrooms, are constant drivers. The team makes sure that employees, advisory boards, and the impact committee reflect our diverse world.

Here are the different roles you’ll find in the People Team.
Talent Acquisition: This team handles everything related to recruitment and mobility. They work with hiring managers to clarify their needs, and then manage the whole recruitment process from candidate sourcing to the offer. If you enter the recruitment process as a candidate, you’ll no doubt have an interview with someone from the Talent Acquisition team! At OpenClassrooms, your ability to deliver is key, but we also want to hire people whose mindset and behaviors match our principles. It’s up to the Talent Acquisition team to ensure that our recruitment process allows us to get the right people in the right jobs, and that our candidates receive fair treatment.
People Success: The People Success team is in charge of supporting employees throughout their journey. They’re usually your first contact when you join OpenClassrooms! They strive to make the employee experience exceptional, and it starts with a unique onboarding period.
Once onboard, employees enter a lifelong learning experience where they get feedback, time for and access to training and individual development, and career opportunities.
The HR team aims to create a unique, exceptional, individual, and professional journey for all employees.
Compensation & Benefits: This team is in charge of salaries and employee perks.
OpenClassrooms is progressively moving toward salary transparency, starting with a clear understanding of the jobs and their purpose, their contribution to the company's strategy and mission, and the required competencies. Employees can then monitor their career and compensation with their managers. It helps OC achieve a fair and consistent compensation policy for employees and the external market.
People Management: The People Management team is in charge of directly supporting managers.
The People Management philosophy is based on three pillars:
Managing performance within a framework of SMART goals flowing from company goals down to team goals and then individual goals.
Nurturing talent and training people so they can be promoted or change roles and grow with the company.
Ensuring that everyone adheres to behaviors in line with OpenClassroom values and beliefs (respect, transparency, honesty, giving, and receiving feedback).
Managers have a structured flow of meetings with employees, including bi-weekly one-to-one meetings, one mid-year performance review, and one end-of-year performance review.
Employee Relations: This team is in charge of the relationship between OpenClassrooms employees and top management.
Since July 2018, a CSE (Comité Social et Économique/Work Council) has been elected and represents OpenClassrooms employees. As the company grows, it's helpful to have a forum where employees can collectively address safety and security, organizational changes, and the training plan.
Workplace: The Facilities team is in charge of the OpenClassrooms offices!
The Facilities Director ensures that nothing impacts office efficiency from free fresh fruit, nuts, and drinks to workspace and commuting management. The Facilities team is always on the lookout for innovative solutions and makes smart investments to serve daily activities and priorities.
As with every team at OpenClassrooms, they do this while focusing on company principles and values, caring about team members, establishing a transparent, honest, and comfortable work environment, opening spaces for debates, constructive feedback, and permanent learning. They never give up when faced with the impossible! Not an easy task, but they’re working on it!
Meetings or Habits
The People Team holds a monthly meeting to discuss ongoing topics. Once per quarter, they have an offsite day to go through team goals and to review timelines and priorities.
Collaboration With Other Teams
Like other support teams, they collaborate with all departments and with every single employee! The People Team is accountable for the employee satisfaction rate, called the eNPS (Employee Net Promoter Score), measured monthly.
