Article 1. General provisions relating to the Terms of Service
The Terms of Service define your rights and obligations as a Member regarding your Subscription to the Services and apply for the entire duration that the Services are available on the Platform.
The Terms of Service become binding upon you once you have checked the designated box, acknowledging that you have accepted them before placing an order.
The Terms of Service were provided to you before your order and remain accessible at any time on our Platform, including during the ordering process for your Subscription. They are issued by our company, whose contact details can be found under the "Legal Information" section.
To subscribe to our Services, you must be of legal age in your country of residence and not be subject to any legal protection measures (such as guardianship, curatorship, or judicial protection).
If you are between 16 and 18 years of age, or are under legal protection (such as guardianship, curatorship, or judicial protection), you may only subscribe to our Services if your legal representatives have given their consent and have read and accepted these Terms of Service.
We may periodically update the Terms of Service. If there are any changes related to the duration, features, or pricing of the Services, you will have 30 days to cancel your Subscription if you do not accept the new Terms of Service. If you continue to use the Platform beyond this period, you will be deemed to have accepted the new terms without reservation.
We also reserve the right to refuse any Subscription if you are a minor without parental consent.
Finally, certain Courses and Learning Paths displayed on our Platform may not yet be available for enrollment. Their estimated launch period is indicated on the Platform. If a Learning Path becomes available earlier or later than expected, we will keep you informed on the respective Learning Path pages. In case of unavailability of the ordered Services, you may contact us through the contact form to report any issues related to your Subscription.

a. Description
The Premium Solo Service provides access to the following features:
- Access to the full catalog of Courses and exercises;
- Certificates of Achievement offered by OpenClassrooms and its partners, allowing the Subscriber to earn a Certificate of Achievement upon successfully completing Courses. This certificate validates the Subscriber's knowledge and skills and can be displayed on their resume and/or professional social media profile;
- Interaction with other Subscribers via the forum and private messaging, in compliance with the General Terms of Use.
b. Subscription
To subscribe to the Premium Solo plan, you must click on "Become Premium Solo." You will then be redirected to the Subscription page, where you must enter your personal and banking details and accept the Terms of Service by checking the designated box.
Before clicking the "Confirm" button, you have the opportunity to review your order details and total price and go back to previous pages to correct any errors or modify your order. After completing your registration, you will receive a confirmation email for your Subscription and an email with your login credentials to access the Courses on the Platform. You can choose to access the Service in either French or English.
c. Pricing
You can subscribe to a monthly plan at the price displayed on the Learning Path page corresponding to your selection. The prices applied are those listed on the Platform at the time of purchase.
d. Duration - Cancellation
The Premium Solo Service is a monthly subscription that automatically renews at the end of each month.
To cancel your Subscription, go to the "Premium" tab on the "My Settings" page, then scroll down to "Return to your settings" to edit your forum, payment, and preference details from the top-right menu on your avatar/initials.
Once you confirm this action, your Subscription will be terminated at the end of the current billing period. Any started month is due in full. As a result, your payment will stop starting from the month following the cancellation.
2.2 Premium Plus Service
a. Description
With the Premium Plus Service, you train for a profession related to your chosen Learning Path. This Service includes all the benefits of the Premium Solo Service, along with additional features such as mentorship sessions. It also allows you to obtain a title registered with the RNCP (National Directory of Professional Certifications) or the RS (Specific Directory) if your Learning Path is officially registered.
For more information on RNCP or RS certifications and their value, we invite you to visit the France Compétences website.
Please note that OpenClassrooms no longer issues paper certificates to reduce its environmental impact. Only a digital certificate will be provided.
b. Subscription
If you wish to subscribe to the Premium Plus Service, you must click on “Choose a Learning Path” to view all available degree-granting Learning Paths.
Once you have selected the Learning Path that suits you and are on the corresponding page, you have two (2) options: you can either click on the “Start” button or the “Contact Us” button.
- If you click on the “Start” button, you will be redirected to the registration page, where you must enter your personal and payment details and accept the Terms of Service and the Student Code of Conduct. Before clicking the "Confirm" button, you have the opportunity to review your order details and total price, or return to previous pages to correct any errors and modify your order if needed. After completing your registration, you will receive a confirmation email with your order summary and login credentials to access your chosen Learning Path on the Platform.
- If you click on the “Contact Us” button, you will be able to fill out a form with your contact details and select your inquiry from a dropdown menu. You must then click "Send" to submit your request. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe to ensure you can benefit from all the advantages of the Premium Plus offer.
c. Changing your Learning Path
If you wish to change the Learning Path you have subscribed to, you can contact our Student Success team via the contact form. Changing your Learning Path is subject to our written approval.
Any change to your Learning Path is considered a new Subscription and is therefore subject to the same formalities as the initial Subscription.
d. Pedagogy
You will find the following educational information on each Learning Path page, accessible at any time:
- The training program;
- The average duration of the training;
- The nature and frequency of the assignments required from the Subscriber (minimum number of Projects required);
- The training conditions, how the pedagogical support service is provided, the methods used, the assessments conducted, and how learning guidelines are communicated;
- The level of prior knowledge and educational background required to enroll in the training;
- The jobs/careers the training prepares you for.
e. Your obligations
By subscribing to the Premium Plus Service, you agree to comply with the commitments outlined in the Student Code of Conduct, including attendance rules for mentorship sessions. Failure to comply with these rules may result in sanctions, including the termination of your Premium Plus Subscription at our discretion.
f. Price of the Premium Plus Service
The price of Premium Plus varies depending on the Learning Path and is displayed at the bottom of the dedicated Learning Path page under the "Fund Your Learning Path" section, in the "Monthly Subscription" tab.
Our prices may change over time. However, if you are already enrolled in a Learning Path, the price at which you subscribed is guaranteed for as long as you remain subscribed to the Premium Plus Service. If you are not yet enrolled, the price increase will apply at the time of your enrollment.
Please note that if you unsubscribe from the Premium Plus Service before completing your Learning Path, any price increase will apply if you re-enroll in the same Learning Path in the future.
g. Duration - Cancellation
The Premium Plus Service is a monthly subscription that is automatically renewed at the end of each month.
The duration of the Premium Plus Learning Path is given for reference only. This duration is based on the estimated time required for a full-time learner (i.e., dedicating an average of 35 hours per week to the training).
To stop your Learning Path, go to the "Account and Settings" page, then scroll down to "Return to your settings to edit your forum, payment, and preference information" from the top-right menu on your avatar/initials.
Once you confirm this action, your Subscription will be canceled at the end of the current billing period. Any started month is due in full. As a result, your payment will stop starting from the month following the cancellation.
For clarification, a medical leave does not automatically pause or refund your training. You must follow the cancellation procedure described above to suspend your Subscription.
Article 3 - Payment terms
The price of the Services is indicated inclusive of all taxes and expressed in euros. However, in some cases, the price may be displayed in another currency depending on the country where you are located.
The total amount for the Services you subscribe to is displayed on the order confirmation page. No additional costs will be charged without your explicit consent.
Please note that OpenClassrooms does not cover internet and mobile data connection fees related to the use of the Platform. These remain your sole responsibility.
Finally, we reserve the right to refuse any Subscription if you are a minor or a person placed under legal protection without proper authorization from your legal representatives.
As a reminder, any started month is due in full.
3.1 Payment
The full price is due upon order confirmation, depending on the subscribed Service plan.
Payment can be made through the following methods: via the secure payment solution PayPal, by credit card through a secure payment interface, or any other payment method available on the Platform at the time of Subscription. We use an online payment security system that encrypts the transmission of banking details. The payment module used is the "Adyen" system, a secure and PCI-DSS-certified platform.
You must be the holder of the payment method used or have obtained written consent from the payment method's owner. Proof of authorization may be requested in case of doubt.
You are also financially responsible for any unpaid fees resulting from a bank refusing your payment.
3.2 Non-payment
If payment is not made by the due date, we reserve the right to demand payment, immediately suspend the provision of the relevant Service, or terminate your Subscription.
Any unpaid amount at the due date will accrue interest at the legal rate without prior notice, along with a fixed penalty fee of 40 euros for collection costs. If the collection costs exceed this fixed amount, we may request additional compensation upon presentation of receipts detailing the recovery procedures undertaken.
3.3 Invoicing
An invoice is generated for each completed order. You can access your invoice on the "Account and Settings" page. Then, at the bottom, click on "Return to your settings to edit your forum information, payment details, and preferences" under the Premium section, accessible from the top-right menu via your avatar/initials.
The subscription fee for your plan will be billed at each renewal period according to the Services, and each new invoice will be available in your Premium space.
You agree to receive your order invoices electronically. Electronic invoices will be made available in .pdf format within your personal account on our Platform. Your transaction history can be reviewed at any time under the section "My Account > Premium." We recommend printing and/or storing your invoices on a reliable and durable medium.
Article 4 - Promotional codes and referral program
We reserve the right, at our discretion and under conditions determined solely by us, to offer promotional deals, price reductions, or referral offers.
Article 5 - Restrictions or installation measures
Our Platform is compatible with most up-to-date browsers, including Edge, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. However, it may experience malfunctions with outdated or less commonly used browsers.
Notably, we do not update the Platform for the following browsers:
- Mini Opera
- Internet Explorer
If you use our iOS application, the Platform is no longer supported for iOS versions 12 and earlier.
Additionally, some of our Paths require specific computer equipment. In such cases, the minimum configuration is listed on each Path's page under the "Overview" tab, in the "Prerequisites" section, then "Equipment."

Article 6 - Reflection period and waiver of the right of withdrawal
6.1 Premium Solo Subscribers
In accordance with the provisions of Article L221-28 (1° and 13°) of the French Consumer Code, no cancellation will be possible once you have used your access codes to log in to the Platform. This will constitute the start of service execution and an express waiver of your right of withdrawal.
6.2 Premium Plus Subscribers
Pursuant to Article L.444-8 of the French Education Code, you are entitled to a mandatory seven (7) day reflection period from the acceptance of these Terms of Service. Until the expiration of a three-month period from the acceptance of the Terms of Service, you may unilaterally terminate your Subscription, subject to a compensation fee that shall not exceed 30% of the Subscription price.

We are committed to providing the Service in accordance with industry standards, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. We also commit to providing a security level equivalent to what is indicated in our Security Assurance Plan.
We disclaim any responsibility in the event of damages resulting from errors related to data, false information, transmission of incorrect documents, or omissions of information by you in the context of providing the Services.
Our liability can only be engaged in the case of proven fault, and we cannot be held responsible for the damages you have suffered related to:

On the other hand, our responsibility cannot be engaged for any losses, damages, costs, or expenses incurred by you in the event of a cyber attack or data breach, including but not limited to, data loss, data corruption, and service interruptions.
In any case, if our liability is held, the total amount of any sum charged to us cannot exceed the total annual amount you have paid for the Services concerned.

or via this form.
In the event that a contractual clause is deemed void, this does not result in the nullity of the Terms of Service. Furthermore, the temporary or permanent non-application of one or more clauses of our Terms of Service shall not be interpreted as a waiver of any of the other clauses in this document, which shall continue to remain in effect.
Annex 1
IV – Article L444-8 of the Education Code
"Under penalty of nullity, the contract can only be signed after a period of seven days following its receipt.
The contract may be terminated by the student or their legal representative if, due to an accident or force majeure, they are prevented from following the corresponding education. In such a case, the termination does not entail any compensation.
Up to three months from the effective date of the contract, it may be unilaterally terminated by the Student with a compensation amount that shall not exceed 30% of the contract price, excluding supplies. Any sums already paid may be withheld to that extent.
Books, objects, or equipment that the contract stipulated for supply to the Student and that have been actually delivered by the termination date, remain acquired for their estimated value in the contract.
No more than 30% of the agreed price may be paid in advance, excluding supplies. For courses exceeding a total duration of twelve months, the 30% is calculated on the price of the first academic year as stipulated by the study plan.
To avoid nullity, the contract must reproduce the provisions of this article. It cannot include any clause allocating jurisdiction."
